Facilities

Research Facilities

We have well equipped research laboratory with sophisticated instrumentation facility. A separate wet lab is furnished to carry out the synthesis of materials. Some of major instruments in the research lab includes,

  • Fluorescence Spectrophotometer

    Within our fluorescence spectrophotometer, we have the capability to assess the fluorescence, phosphorescence, as well as chemiluminescence or bioluminescence across diverse sample types. This instrument accommodates both film and solution samples. Additional accessories include a polarizer and a temperature control unit.

    FTIR 

    FT-IR finds widespread application in the identification of unfamiliar compounds through the comparison of their infrared spectra with reference spectra stored in databases. The Spectrum Two FTIR spectrometer is equipped with various accessories, including attenuated total reflectance (ATR), transmission, specular reflectance, and diffuse reflectance. This instrument enables the analysis of solid, liquid, and film samples.

    PhotoReactor

    A photo reactor is a distinctive light-emitting device employed for safely initiating or expediting chemical reactions. Their effectiveness and suitability can differ, particularly based on the specific wavelength under consideration. Ultraviolet (UV) light, characterized by its high energy and very short wavebands, is frequently utilized in photochemical processes. This is used for photodegradation studies.

     

  • Computational Facility

     

Some of the instruments in the UG and PG laboratory includes, Digital Potentiometer, Digital Conductivity meter, Digital Polarimeter, Abbe Refractometer, pH meter, Sonicator, Rotary Shaker, Distillation Unit, Electronic Balances, Vacuum Desiccator, Photoelectric Colorimeter, UV Chamber for TLC, Water Analyser, Visible Spectrophotometer etc
