The higher education system in India which is independent and transparent offers facility of education and training in almost all aspects of human creative and intellectual endeavors. To assess the system, Ministry of Education (MoE) initiated an All-India Survey on Higher Education (AISHE) in the year 2010-11 with representations from various stakeholders to conceptualize this survey and provide technical guidance. The survey collects data on several parameters like student enrolment, staff, programmes, finance etc and also of educational indicators like GER, Student- Teacher ratio, per student expenditure etc.
Understanding the importance of such a survey in future policy decision making process of authorities, we St. Michael’s College partake in this process since its inception. This data collection provides us also with a bird’s eye view of the present situation and undertake measures for further progress of this HEI. The present constitution of the College Committee set up for undertaking this survey is as follows:
Co-ordinator: Smt. Seena Elizabeth George
