Profile

As a post-accreditation quality sustenance measure, the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) was constituted on 5th September 2004 with the Principal as the Chairman. The IQAC develops strategies to improve the academic and administrative performance of the institution through institutionalizing and internalizing all the quality enhancing and sustaining initiatives. IQAC is an integral part of the institution and works towards the realization of the goals of quality enhancement and sustenance. The key task of the IQAC is to develop a sustainable system for conscious, consistent and catalytic improvement in the overall performance of the institution. In order to achieve these objectives, the college constituted an IQAC as per the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) guideline.

The college constituted the IQAC based on the guideline of the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).

Function & Policy Documents

The major responsibilities of IQAC includes,

  • Development and application of quality benchmarks in various activities of the college.
  • Dissemination of information on quality aspects.
  • Organization of discussion, seminars, workshop and promotion of quality circles.
  • Recording and monitoring quality measures of the Institution.
  • Acting as a nodal agency of the Institution for quality related activities.
  • Preparation of the annual quality assurance report (AQAR) and such other reports as may be decided from time to time.

IQAC in association with various organisation conducts training programmes for the faculty and the administrative staff. Also, we provide information about the technological advancement and accessibility to students. Initiatives are also taken to inculcate values through creative value education programmes. Another important role of IQAC is to encourage the use of information and communication technology (ICT) in the enhancement of Teaching-Learning process. IQAC also gives directions for student mentoring, transparent mechanism for internal examination process, promote research activities, encourage community service through various clubs and association, promote the use of library resources, maintenance of physical facilities in the campus. IQAC acts as a bridge between the various stake holders and the institution.
