Physics lab inauguration : The inauguration and blessing ceremony of Renovated Physics lab was done at the hands of Bishop Rev Dr. James Raphael Anaparambil on 16/09/2022.
ETEHS-2022: Two days national seminar on “Emerging Trends in Energy Harvesting and Storage” (ETEHS-2022)from 10/11/2022-11/11/2022, funded by Science Engineering and Research Board (SERB)
Physics Association Inauguration was done on 29th November 2022, by Mr. Arjun Sathyan, Malayalam film script writer. .
“Sky-watch” was organized by the Department as a part of National Science Day Celebration, NSD-2023 on 27/02/2023.
Physmalumni-2022 : An alumni reunion of BSc Physics first batch students (1998-2001) was organized on 25th September 2022.
An industrial visit to Holmarc Opto-mechatronics PVT. LTD. was conducted on 21/01/2023.
Orientation and exhibition for school teachers (Science for school): Department of Physics in collaboration with chemistry department organized a two days workshop for high school science teachers on basic science from 01/02/2023 to 02/02/2023.
A student seminar named VIBGYOR-2022 has been introduced, .
An add-on certificate course named “Basics of C Programming” has been introduced.
The Department of Physics in association with the Department of Vocational Disciplines had arranged a one day “Research Institution Visit” to NIIST Trivandrum on 18/03/2023.

The department of Physics and Science club collaboratively conducted the National science day-2022 celebration by organizing a seminar on 2nd march 2022. The talk was delivered by Dr.Pius Augustine ,Assistant professor, Department of physics, Sacred Heart College, Thevara on the topic “ Light matter interaction: A Quantum revelation”.

Webinar on “The universe we live” was conducted on 25th August 2020 by Dr P. R. Prince, Assistant Professor, University College, Thiruvananthapuram as the resource person
“Making Video” Competition was organized by Department of Physics and Science club at St. Michael’s College, Cherthala , as a part of National science day celebration 2020-’21. It was a video making competition for the college students on the topic “World in 2030”.

IGNITE (Intellectually Glowing and Nurturing Initiatives on Track Enhancement): An alumni interaction with students has been conducted, in which alumni of our department are invited to interact with the students and give them an introduction on their own research field. Sri. Ouseph C J of 2012-2015 batch B.Sc Physics student was invited to deliver a talk on Astrophysics on 26th August 2019.
EXHIBITION: An exhibition in connection with the national science day celebrations was arranged in collaboration with the science club of our college at the physics lab from 27th to 28th February 2020
AWARENESS CAMPAIGN: A campaign was conducted on “Recent job opportunities in the banking area” by CMS Info Systems Pvt Ltd. on 31st January 2020

Polaris:- A talk series on Astrophysics on Thursday 20th December 2018. Dr R. Tharanath (Assistant professor of physics, Aquinas College, Edacochi) and Mr K S Sivaraj (Assistant professor of physics, Aquinas College, Edacochi) delivered talks on Sky- a limitless canvas and Sun & Sunspots respectively. Dr Saneesh Sebastian introduced some techniques used in Astrophysics.

GOLDEN JUBILEE EXHIBITION:- Department of Physics organised an exhibition for the public From 12 to 17 October 2017

KSCSTE SEMINAR:- Kerala State Council for Science, Technology and Environment sponsored two days state level seminar on “Recent Advances in Professional Electronics and Optoelectronics” on 23rd and 24th November 2017
A workshop is organized on “Solar Cell Technology” is organised in association with Kshitij fest from 15th to 16th March 2018 .

PHYSMALUMNI -2016 - An alumni meeting was organized on 12th October 2016
WORD MISSILES:- A street play organized by the physics students on Kalam Day (15th October 2016)
QUIZ COMPETETION:- Inter departmental Quiz competition was conducted in connection with Kalam Day (15th October 2016).

VIRTUAL LAB SEMINAR was organized on 6th October 2015 ,A talk was delivered by Prof. Anoop, Head of the Computer Science department, Amrutha Viswa Vidhya Peedhu, Kollam.
Meet the Scientist Programme was conducted on 13th October 2015, Dr Govindankutty, Assistant professor of IIST Thiruvananthapuram interacted with the students.
SALAM KALAM - To pay tribute to Dr.APJ Abdul kalam, Department of Physics Organised A photo exhibition which depicts the life of Dr.APJ Abdul kalam on 15th October 2015.
NTriMS-2016 :- Department of Physics organized a UGC sponsored two days state level seminar on “New Trends in Materials Science” from 4th and 5th of February 2016
