The “Lapwing Nature Club” functions very actively in this college under the leadership of the Department of Zoology. As part of the activity of the club a garden is maintained on the campus. In addition to ornamental plants variety of medicinal plants are taken care of. Ms. Patricia Michael is the coordinator of Nature Club.
Activities of the Club
The unit of Birds Club International, the charitable organisation to revive and conserve environment, by tapping and utilising optimum natural resources with the focus on Birds, was started at the department in 2017. The inauguration of the Club was done by Sri. Jayaraj, famous national award winning Film Director and Founder of BCI, on 18.07.2017. Dr. Antony P.J. is the coordinator of BCI on the campus.

An association of Zoology students, named as ZEST (keenness and enthusiasm) functions in the department with the objective to provide a platform for students for cultivation of aptitude and to improve their own capabilities, competence and organization capacities. Sri. Ebin Yesudas of III year BSc Zoology is the present Secretary and Dr. Antony P.J. is the Teacher Co-ordinator of the Association.
Activities of the association
ZAS is functioning in the college since 2009 and meetings are conducted every year. Prof. Annie Jose K. is the President since 2012 and Dr. John Thomas Associate Professor (retired) from Christ College, Iringalakuda is the Vice-President of the association.
Recent activities
The cherished dream of an enlightened society ideally depends on quality education. Driven and inspired by this proven fact, the community of the Diocese of Alleppey made its resolute entry into the field of higher education.
